CBS News is reporting that Netflix is adding live TV streaming to the home through an update of its TV app.
The update, announced Tuesday, allows users to stream a wide variety of live TV programs and sports to their devices.
It adds a new “Live” tab that shows you a list of the currently streaming shows and shows you can watch, and allows you to browse and reorder the shows and channels you like.
The app also adds an “Add” button that lets you add shows from the TV app to your queue.
Users can also subscribe to a channel or show from the app, and it will stream a specific show or channel.
The update also lets users create a personalized TV schedule with a list on the home screen.
The move follows Netflix’s announcement earlier this month that it was partnering with a handful of media outlets and other companies to bring its online video service to the desktop.
Netflix previously had its own online video platform called TV.com, but the app is now part of a broader set of apps called Netflix Now.
