Today’s tech news has you talking about the next big thing in streaming services.
Now you can tell everyone how big of a deal this is, thanks to a company called Future Internet Services (FIS).
The company is working with a group of Internet service providers (ISPs) in Australia and New Zealand to make the Internet TV service.FIS has an eye on three things:It’s a company that’s already doing things right.
It’s an ISP that’s going to be there, it’s an industry that’s still figuring out how to scale its infrastructure.
And, of course, it wants to make it easier for people to do that.
In a statement to VentureBeat, FIS founder and CEO Nick Riedel says he has been a huge fan of Netflix and its services ever since they were first launched in the United States.
“It was a great experience for me and my family.
And the service itself was a blast,” Riedels statement reads.
“I had a chance to talk to them in person and see how they were doing it, how the technology was built and how they could make it easy for consumers to watch live TV, free, and it’s been really fun.”
It’s an exciting time for digital TV, Rieds statement says.
Fis says it has already established itself as a pioneer of digital TV services in Australia, with a $1.2 billion deal with Foxtel.
That deal includes a TV-like streaming service that will let viewers watch live television at home, free.
Fistful of digital content, Ries says he’s already been working with several of the big names in the industry, like CBS and Discovery, and he says he expects to see other major players join the race.
“We have an amazing partnership with the CBS Television Network,” Ries said.
“We have a deal with Discovery, which is our partner in Australia.
We have a lot of other deals.
There’s a lot going on.
It just takes time to build that.”FIS says it plans to roll out its service in a number of markets, including Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
It hopes to launch the service in 2019.
Riedel hopes to make a big difference in the future of television.
“I think the way we’re going to see the future is the Internet is going to help a lot in the entertainment business,” he said.
“In a way that’s how Netflix works.”
